BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Discusses 2025 Projects: “Next Year Will be My Starting Point”

“2024 has been a transformative year for me,” Jisoo said during her cover shoot for Elle Korea‘s December issue.
Jisoo lights up the cover of Elle’s December issue, embracing the Christmas spirit. Despite the outdoor photoshoot taking place in the late autumn chill, Jisoo’s bright and positive energy lifted the atmosphere on set.
Having wrapped filming for the movie adaptation of famous webnovel “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” and the series “Newtopia” (previously known as “Influenza”), Jisoo was asked if the sense of responsibility differs between being a singer and an actor.

To this, the idol-actress disclosed her professional approach by replying, “Though the visible energy might differ in the moment, both roles require dedication and time, so the weight of responsibility is the same. When I get a good script, I try to have long conversations with the director, as working together for so long means aligning on the direction is essential.”
On her experience running her own agency and making music, Jisoo shared, “There’s so much to learn and decide at every step. It’s challenging but fun, and it’s made me realize how many people support me. This makes the outcome even more meaningful. I can’t wait to share it.”

When asked about her feelings on upcoming projects in 2025, she expressed, “Working closely with the team over a long period has deepened my affection for the project. I just hope people will find it as enjoyable as we did making it. I feel excited yet nervous.”
She added, “This year has been filled with many firsts, and the warmth and encouragement I received were overwhelming. If this year was a turning point, maybe next year will be my starting point,” revealing her excitement for the future.
